Admissions
Students are selected for admittance to Philadelphia Academy through a lottery process. Below is information describing how to apply. The lottery will be held in mid March. Applications will be accepted beginning October 3, 2011. The deadline for submitting an application is March 1, 2012.
Acceptance letters/calls for the 2012-2013 school year will be mailed shortly after the lottery has been completed. If you do not receive a letter your child has been placed on our waiting list.
Direction for registration will be mailed in late March 2012.
Testing for incoming Freshmen will be on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 9:00 am– 12:00 pm at the high school.
Failure to attend the testing will result in your child’s name being removed from the accepted list and placed on the waiting list.
Your child’s admission is not complete until all enrollment requirements are completed including all documentation and signed Code of Conduct.
Philadelphia Academy Charter School complies with all State and Federal laws that govern admission policies and procedures. Registration materials for new students are available from the office administrative staff. Upon acceptance parents will need to provide the following information to the school in order to complete enrollment procedures:
- Completed Admissions Profile (with name, address, emergency contact)
- Birth Certificate and copy for office to retain
- Copy of Immunization Records
- Proof of Residency (Utility Bill, Tax Record, Lease)
- Most recent report card
- IEP (If applicable)
- 504 plan (if applicable)
- Physical and dental exam
- Request for Student Records
- Evidence of Enrollment
- Free and Reduced Lunch Application
- Signed Code of Conduct Agreement

Application
