Philadelphia Academy Graduation Rates Among Tops in the City

The February edition of the Philadelphia Public School Notebook printed graduation rates for all charter and public Philadelphia high schools. We are proud to state that we were the 3rd best charter in the city at an 88% on time rate. Thirteen public high schools had a better rate and every one of them is an academic magnet school.

The Philadelphia Shakespeare Company will perform HAMLET on our gym stage on February 17th.

On February 24th, we will host a special performance from Dr. Century as Harriet Tubman and LaSalle’s African Dance Team!

Philadelphia Academy Charter School is proud to announce our new rapid communication notification system. This important tool will enable us to notify you quickly in the event of an emergency or snow closing, upcoming event reminders and general school announcements.
Because you will receive notifications via the phone and/or emails, it is very important to have correct contact information. If you have made any changes to your email address or phone numbers since September, please send a written note with your updates to the front office of the grade school or high school.

Improvement in Grade 11 PSSA Results Noted in Inquirer

On Friday, September 30, 2011, The Philadelphia Inquirer listed the most improved schools with respect to PSSA results. We are happy to report that for grade 11, improvement in our math scores was the second greatest in Philadelphia. Additionally, improvement in our reading scores was the third greatest in Philadelphia.
